The Ridge Animal Hospital

The owners wanted an Animal Hospital that was functional and clinical, but not typical. The land that was purchased for the site of the hospital was perfect. The field is one of the most well known in the area for its beauty and timeless appeal. There was a great amount of responsibility to maintain the theme of the surrounding area.

     When entering through the front doors, you can’t help but notice the lodge type appeal that pronounces itself everywhere you look, from the hand crafted reception desk to the little country store. The dog waiting area is on left and the cat waiting area is on the right, as well as a children’s play house under the stairs. The hospital is state of the art. As soon as you step through the doors that lead you to the clinic, you will see that this facility is serous about the care of your pet. With four exam rooms, pharmacy, lab, surgery, x-ray, large workroom and kennels, this hospital is made for premium veterinary care.

     The second floor consists of two offices, a large break room, conference room and a leisure area for the doctor and her family. The communications room, which is often overlooked, is also located on the second floor.

     The exterior has all the features that you would expect to see in a New England style structure. Special features include four foot overhangs, 6 x 6 knee braces, cottage style windows, stone veneer foundation, water table and freeze boards. The front overhang has a contemporary feel, with a round roof and dressed pillars. Because of its appeal, this feature worked better than a traditional roof.
